Show RECORDS OF OPERA ARE HEARD AT CLUB Phonographic, records of the famous operas were heard by a large ajjd lenee at the Ladies' Literary club last night. A general invitation was extended to the public through the courtesy of tho John Elliott Clark company, who furnished the music for the occasion. Supplementing the Vlctrola music, noted local musicians gave brief explanations of the , various operas. In view of the appearance here of the San Carlos Grand Oera company the latter lat-ter part of the week, especial attention was paid to the operas which wili be presented pre-sented by this company of artists. The program will be continued tonight. Among others, selections will be played from "Aida," with selections by Madame Schu-mann-Heink, Scotti, Caruso and Amato. i |
