Show Bourgeoisie Make Gains. BERUX, Monday, March 17. tBy the Associated Press.) The bourgeoisie par-tics par-tics have made gains in the municipal elections in Duesseldorf and Halle. In Duesseldorf the bourgeoisie elected fifty-seven members of the city council, of whom forty-three were members of the Clerical party. The majority Socialists elected twelve councilmen and the independent inde-pendent Socialists twenty-four. The elections in Halle put an end to the domination of the independent Socialists, who elected only thirty-seven delegates to the workmen's council, as against thirty-six for the bourgeoisie parties and twelve for tho majority Socialists. In the elections to the workmen's council coun-cil at Kiel, the majority Socialists got fifteen members, t he bourgeoisie parties eleven and tho independent Socialists four. |
