Rutherford, second vice president and general manager of the Goodrich Tire Kubber company of Akxon, Ohio, one of the world's largest larg-est rubber manufacturers and makers of the celebrated Silvertown Cord tires and fabric casings, a number of Goodrich officials of western branches met in this city last week and held a three days' conference at the Hotel Utah. Those in attendance, besides Mr. Rutherford, were: Manager Carroll of the western district, dis-trict, comprising all of the coast and intermountain states; Mr. Alexander, manager of tire sales of San Francisco; Mr. Bipley, branch manager, Los Angeles; An-geles; Mr. Albright, district manager tor the northwest, stationed at Seattle; Mr. Underwood, manager of tire sales for Seattle district; Mr. Caldwell, Portland Port-land branch manager;' Mr. Powell, manager man-ager of Diamond tire sales, San Francisco, Fran-cisco, and K. K. Kantzer, local Goodrich manager. The nature of the conference was not revealed, but it is surmized that it had to do with the big increase in the distribution distri-bution of Goodrich products iu the intermountain in-termountain countrv. i |
