Show GUN POINTER ON VISIT TO PARENT Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, April 27. Charles Wallace, who recently qualified as gun poiuter at the O-rea't Lakes Naval academy, is spending a few days in Ogden visiting his mother. Mrs. C. F. Wallace, 2852 Lincoln avenue, prior to being assigned for dutv- with naval crews on merchant ships. Mr. Wallace, who was formerly employed em-ployed upon one of the local papers, entered en-tered the naval service a few weeks after the declaration of war. After the completion of the course at the naval school in Illinois, Wallace has been stationed sta-tioned at various ports in the south. He has a brother serving in the marine corps at Paris Island, 8. 0. At the conclusion of his furlough Wallace expects ex-pects to be given assignment at sea. |
