The enlistment of teachers grew out of a suggestion made last week by Dr. Beatty to George N. Child, assistant superintendent of public schools, which met with approval by K. A. Smith, city superintendent of schools. Mr. Smith told Dr. Beatty yesterday that under the plan adopted the school principals princi-pals would report direct to the city health board and in turn would instruct the teachers as to the method of policing.
