One of the chief causes contributing contrib-uting to the success of the campaign iu Colorado was the work of Mrs. Basil Clarke, who addressed the residents of ; Mesa, Garfield and Delta counties dur-; dur-; iug the two weeks of the campaign, in-j in-j formation reaching Salt Lake states. Mrs. Clarke, who is conversant with ! conditions in Kurope by reason of her ! residence in Belgium, where she was en-j en-j gaged in relief work under Herbert I Hoover, also was engaged in tlio sec-; sec-; end Liberty loan drive and her services I for the candidacy of President Wilson last fall were highly commended.
