Show RED CROSS SUNDAY SERMON PREACHED Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, Dec. 10. If the child of the American home gazes in open-eyed wonder won-der at the tilled stocking on Christmas morning, what must be the feeling of thousands of refugee children in war-torn France who regard witli the same awe dav after day the almost fairylike nurse and Red Cross worker who supply them with life's necessities. This was the predominating pre-dominating thought in a sermon delivered deliv-ered by the Rev. John Edward Carver at the" First Presbyterian church today in observance of Red Cross Sunday. The .sermon. like others delivered throughout the city today, marked the opening of a campaign for members of the Red Cross, it being the desire of the national organization to increase the membership to lo.OOU.OOU before Christmas Christ-mas day. |
