Arrangements having hav-ing been uompletetl to open a Red L'ioss Christmas campaign heatU'inarters on the ground lloor at -4S.J Wasliinston avenue, the Rev. John Kdward Carver, president of the Ogden chapter, announced today that preparations were well under way for the membership drive to bo opened Monday in the nation-wide campaign for Red Cross enlistments. Two thousand new members is the mark that has been set for the Ogden chapter during the week's drive before Christmas. In addition to the work that Is to he carried on through the schools and other public institutions, there wih be approximately approxi-mately lifty local committees at work to obtain new members of the society. Organization Or-ganization work will he taken up throughout the countv for the purpose of establishing branch units in every town and district. Nearly every fraternal organization or-ganization in the city has appointed a special committee to assist in the week s drive for new members in the Red Cross. The minimum membership fee is $1, and every person affiliating with the organization or-ganization during the campaign will be supplied with a Red Cross button and service ser-vice flag, in addition to a certificate of membership, which will be mailed from the headquarters in the First National Bank building. A telephone will be installed in-stalled at the headquarters on Washington Washing-ton avenue and representatives of the lo-cul lo-cul chapter will be on duty from 10 o'clock in the morning until il o'clock at night. |
