Show SERVICES ARE HELD FOR MRS. THURGOOD Manv friends paid their tribute of love yesterday afternoon to Mrs. Maria Steck Thurgood. who died in this ,elty last Friday Fri-day morning and whose funeral services were held in (he Nineteenth ward chapel. Bishop Charles W. Huhl officiated. Eulogies were delivered by Benjamin Godilard, Isaac Barton. Bishop George Q. Morris of the Fourteenth ward and Stanley Stan-ley Hanks. The invocation was offered by Herhert J. Shlmmln and the benediction benedic-tion pronounced by Arthur Parsons. Music was furnished by a quartette composed of Mrs. Lizzie Thomas Edward, Mrs. Agnes Olson Thomas. Moroni J. Thomas and Samuel D. Winter. They sang "Come Unto Me." "Some Dav" and "Shall We Meet Beyond the River." with Miss Ieah Arnold as accompanist. Mrs. Edward also sang a solo, "Thy "Will Be Done." "The grave in City cemetery was dedicated ded-icated by John Poutbworth. The pallbearers pall-bearers were James Lambert. Louis G. Hoagland. Ashley Wallace. O. D. Romney. Ft., George Bowles and Rufus K. Hardy. |
