Show UTAH ART INSTITUTE SUBMITS ITS REPORT G-overnor Bamberger Informed of Activities Ac-tivities During Year; Two Institutes In-stitutes Held. The report of the Utah Art Institute for the past vear was yesterday submitted to Governor" Simon Bamberger. The report shows that two exhibits were held during dur-ing the year: The Salt Lake exhibit wu held in the art gallery of the University of Utah from April 1 to May 1. There were 65 exhibits by artists, sculptors and craftsmen. Another institute was held at Brigham City May 20 to May 30. During the year there were purchased nine paintings to add to the Alice art exhibit. The titles of these paintings and the artists are as follows: "Nocturne," "Noc-turne," Girard Hale; "Swans," Laurencs Squires; "Miniature," Rose Hartwell Whiteley; "Moonlight." J. B. Fairbanlts; "Deserted Ranch." Le Conte Stewart; "Portrait Statuette." Avard Fairbanks: "The Pirate." Florence Ware; "Harvest," J. Leo Fairbanks; "A Stormy Day," Joseph Jo-seph F. Everett. The members cf the institute directorate are Don C. Young. Jr., president; V. Knapp. vice president; Theodoie "W Whitelev, secretarv and treasurer: Mrs. W C. McDonald and J. T. Ilarwood. |
