The second day's racing of the niid-tontinent regatta, under un-der the ausplros of the Mississippi Valley Powerboat association, developed good races and fast time In all events. Miss Minneapolis, the Minneapolis Motorboat association entry, made a clean sweep of the race in which she was entered and developed a spucii of 43. b' miles an hour In the second heat of the Webb trophy race. The driftwood in the river, which caused the postponement of part of yesterday's yes-terday's programme, was still in evidence today and added difficulties to the racing. Although the officials said last1 night that the course would be lengthened when the racing started today, the mile-and-a-quarter course was retained. In the first heat 01" the five-mile race for class A A boats, Miss Bilile Burke, owned by D. C- Kberhart of Moline, III., was first, and Maymie. owned by G. O. Allen of Takn City, Minn., was second.
