Show ATTEMPT TO STAMP OUT FEVER EPIDEMIC SpeclaJ to The Tribune. OGDEN. July 5. A strict quarantine has been placed on cases of scarlet fever in this city as the result of eightpen cases having been discovered by George Shorten, Short-en, health inspector, last month, and no decrease In tlie spread of the disease so far this month. The information Is contained con-tained In a report submitted to the health board today. According to Mr. Shorten's report, the births for June outnumbered the deaths nearly three to one. There were twenty-seven twenty-seven deaths during the month, as compared com-pared with seventy-seven births thirty-eight thirty-eight males and thirty-nine females. There were 460 inspections during the month. |
