Show RESIDENTS OF ELY ENJOY CELEBRATION Special to Tho Tribune, ELY, Nov.. July 5. The celebration held here yesterday was one of the most enjoyable and successful in the history of , the city. Beginning las: night a steady stream of pleasure seekers flowed into the city by train, automobile and vehicles of ' every other description. From the surrounding sur-rounding country came the prosperous ranchers in their big machines and the less fortunate ones by conveyances of the les modern type. r The programme arranged by the sports committee was carried out smoothly, and not a single accident or hitch occurred In mar the festivities of the day. An abundance of ice cream and lemonade was furnished free to all, and sporting events for all ar4os and nil classes, with valuable prizes for the winners, kept the excitement at fever hear. A confetti battle on the crowded main street and a dance which taxed Bijou hall to its capacity ca-pacity brought the great celebration to a fittlne close. |
