Show TRAIN WELCOMED AT SPANISH FORK Practically Entire Population of Region Enjoy Demonstrations Given by Educating Force. .Special to The Tribune. SPANISH FORK. April 22.- Practically Practi-cally the entire population ot the town ami of the Mirroundirjg country turned out today to welcome the Salt Lake lionte demonstration train, which ar- i ivt'd here this morninc from Pay son. The train was parked at the Salt Lake I'outp station and was crowded throughout through-out the day. One of the features of the day was a tonnage test given the caterpillar trac- tor anions the exhibits on the train. The test was severe, but the t ractor fulfilled all expectations and the demonstration demon-stration was in every wnv successful. Two meetings were held this a tter-iiooii, tter-iiooii, one fur men and one for women. The men "s meeting was addressed by Fr. W. K. Taylor and L. M. Winsor, and the women's meeting by Miss Agnes Saunders and Miss Gertrude McTheyne. Dr. Taylor talked on the "Upbuilding of foils'' and Professor Winsor on "Irn- I gatiou.'" Miss Saunders spoke on ''In-1 faut Feeding" and Miss McCheyne con-, fined her talk to the explanation of the' exhibits in the home economics demon-, stration car. A joint meeting for men and women was held tonight and was addressed bv Douglas White, Ben R. Eldredge and Professor J. S. Powell. Mr. White discussed dis-cussed the relation of the railroad and the farmer; Mr. Eldredge talked ou ' Dairying' ' and Professor Powell on "Home Decoration.'1 The train will leave here tomorrow for Provo, whore it will remain through Monday. |
