Show eOMTED DRIVER TIES 1 APPEAL Judson Stoker, Whose Auto Driving Hurt Clarence Dew, Not Satisfied Special to The Tribune OGDE'f Aug 28 Judson Stoker the Syracuse farmer who was convieted a week ago on a charge of reckless dnv ing and sentenced to ser e three months in ja I has appealed h s case to the distr ct court Stoker was dnv ing the automob le wh ch struck and se nously niured Clarence Dew 21 years of age while the young man was walk ng along the R verdale road on Thursday Thurs-day evening August 19 In the car w th Stoker were Charles Chrmtensen owner of the auto and Curtis Brown Chnstensen and Brown were fined by Judge W H Eeeder When tried in the municipal court on a state compla nt Stoker pleaded guilty to the charge of reckless dnv ing It developed from the test monv that all three of the men n the a to mob le had been drinking while in Og den the accident happen ng while they were on their way to Syracuse As Dew sustained a fracture of the skull as a result of the accident bounty Attorney Joseph E Evans expressed the opin ion that Stoker was fortunate in eecap ing with a three months jail sentence The auto driver served only three days of the sentence and was released from the co nty 7a 1 on an appeal bond of $500 It s said that relat ves and friends are seeking to lave Stoker released re-leased from the iail sentence because h s widowed mother is not able to look after the farm worji Ogden on the running boards or steps of one of these trailers.
