Show SIG1L coral, TO BECOME CAVALRY Transformation of Famous State Military Organization Organiza-tion m Line of Progress T e first cava ry organization the Na tlonal Guard of Utah has had in many jears will be tentatively formed tonight when Field Company A, signal corps, Na tional Guard of Utah, meets for its f rst drill of the year The members of the s gnal company are to bo taken over by the ca airy organization and dril a in ca airy evolutions and training In scouting patrolling advance and rear guard work will be undertaken in medi atelj Tl e cavalry troop is authorized to maintain a strength of th ee officers and sixty five enl sted men There are many more t lan the required number In the s gnal company and more than a dozen des rab e recru ts who ave appl ed for enlistment so that the new o gan Ization will be made up of the pick of about e ghty five men most of them a ready well dr ed Adju ant General Wedgwood is now In Washington and one of h s actlv ties the e w 1 be the securing of complete equ pment for the new organizat on from the war aepart ment So far only tentat ve orders 1 ave been Issued for the transfo matlon of the s gna ompany into a cava ry troop but upon the return of General Wedg wood the f nal order w 1 be issued and officers will be appo nted.
