Show DEMANDS INQUIRY INTO THE LOSS OF THE FORMIDABLE LONDON. Jan. 14. 3:0S a. m. The Morning Post this morning follows up Lord Charles Beiesford's letter of yester-cl;iv yester-cl;iv concerning tbe sending of warships into waters where there are submarines without an accompanying torpedo boat destroyer, with a demand for a formal inquiry in-quiry into the loss of the battleship Formidable For-midable in the English channel. The newspapers calls for an answer to the following fol-lowing specific questions: "Why was this squadron at sea at night? Why was it deprived of Its proper defense of torpedo boat destroyers? Why was it steaming at slow speed? Why has the admiralty withheld all detailed information infor-mation regarding the disaster? Why has no court of Inquiry been held? What guarantee is there that a similar disaster will not occur in the future?" |
