WILSON S DISCLAIMER Pres dent Wilson modestly disclaims any intention of announcing himself as the Demociatic candidate for the presidency m 1916 wlien he referred to the tune when his official acts would be judged He will be the Democrati candidate nevertheless whether he m tended to- make the announcement or not and judgment of h s official acts will not be left to poster ty He is the sole asset of the Democratic party so far as the presidential nomination is concerned and there will be no other Richmond In the field to contest for what will doubtless turn out to be an empty honor Champ Clark who was slaughtered to make a Bryan holiday at Bait more knows it is useless for him to enter the 1 sts Oscar Underwood will be buried m the senate after the close of the preBent sess on of Congress and Bryan is not likely to give the voters an other chance at him very soon So it is plam sailing for Mr Wilson who having filed his bill of particulars m his Indianapolis speech must go before the great court composed of all the peo pie for judgment Unless publ c sent ment undergoes a great change between now and November 1916 the verdict will be overwhelmingly agamst him.
