Show NEW COMMISSION TO MEET MONDAY Old Board Will Approve Bonds Earlier in Day; Preparing to Pinish Up Business. In response to a request for information informa-tion Aaron Meyers of tho citv law department de-partment outlined yesterday to the members mem-bers of the new rity cumin ission the method of procedure" for inaugurating the new administration. The law provides that the Dew officers of-ficers shall take office at noon on the first Monday in January and that they shall file th'eir official bonds and take : their oaths of office before that time. Under this arrangement it will be Deces-sarv Deces-sarv for the old board of commissioners to notd a meeting Monday to approve the bonds of the new commissioners and the auditor-elect, since it would not be proper for the new commissioners to ap prove tneir own oonds. Tt is probable that the present board will meet at 11:30 a. m. next Monday to finish np any business that must be transacted and to approve tho bonds. At noon the retiring commissioners will go out of office automatically and the new commissioners will come " in, - provided their bonds are filed and their oaths of office administered. The first meeting of the new board will be held at S o'clock Monday evening, even-ing, and at that time the assignment of commissionerships will be made. |
