Show Nevada Makes Large Gam in Metal Output or 1915 Production of Gold, Silver, Copper, Lead and Zmc, Valued at $34,566,000, an Increase of Nearly 18 Per Cent Compared to 1914. THE Lnlted States geological sur vey reports the value of the 1915 output of gold s er copper lead and zinc from Ne ada m nes as approx mately $ 4 066 000 This represents an Increase of near ly IS per cent over the output of 191 when me als valued at S'9 300 842 were produced. "Various le sees, were shipping- gold ore In the Manhattan district of Nye county the B g Pine mine was the principal pro ducer the mm of which was treating 150 tons per day by amalgamation the latter part of the year Four other mills were operated to smaller extent In the dls trict, the Whitman & Kane, Manhattan Milling &- Ore eompany the Associated rnfil and the War Eagle mill uCopper Output Heavj The silver production from jNevada mines decreased from IS 4a5 491 ounces in 1914 to about 14 4 8 000 ounces In 1915 .The- decrease was at Tonopah, where the mines were affected dje the low price of silver At the Comstock district or Storey county the production was also decreased and the idleness of the Mason Valley copper cop-per smelter to a small extent lessened the silver output. The greatest silver pro ducers in the state were the Tonopah Belmont Tonopah Mining company 'I'd nopah Extension, Jim Butler and West End, at Tonopah, Nevada Wonder and Nevada Hills in Churchill county and tie Rochester district in Humboldt county The mines in the last named district were active but particularly so after the ad vent of the Nevada short Line railroad The 100 ton cyanide custom mln was op erated producing gold and silver bullion and a small mill was active on the Lin coin Hill property There was consldera We activity in the Pand district of Mln eral county where unusually rich ore was shipped from the Last Hope Gold Pen Queen Regent and Eagle properties In the camp of Belmont.
