Show PARSON SIMPKIN TO TAKE A TRIP ABROAD Pastor and His Daughter Will Spend the Summer In England and Scotland. The Rev. p. A. Simpkin, pastor of the Phillips Consregational church, has been granted a ninety days' vacation by his congregation, lie will leave June 25 for the east ami will sail the latter part of July for Ungland and Scotland, to remain until September 1. Mr. Simpkin will be accompanied by his daughter. Miss Grace Alice SlmpUin. Mis Simpkin will leave tomorrow for Chicago, to remain until Ihe latter part of June, when her falher will join her. They will sail on the Baltic. The Rev. Mr. Simpkin was given a pleasant surprise Friday evening by his congregation, in honor of his birthday His birthday anniversary was on Thursday, Thurs-day, hut he was out of the city and it was celebrated on Ills return Friday even-In?, even-In?, vv'ith a dinner at tlie church. A number num-ber of substantial gifts in tlie way of money to contribute to the. pleasure of ills vacation were presented to tlie popular pop-ular pastor.
