Show Midge Jensen Entertained Prior To Leaving On Tour This past week at home has been a busy one for Miss Mildred Midge) Jensen, daughter of Mr. ;md Mrs. O. S. Jensen of Copperton, Cop-perton, who leaves tomorrow night at midnight on an interest-mv interest-mv tour to Sydney, Australia, .-.he is to sail from San Francisco December 5 on the S.S. Frazier now aboard the North Star, the Hyrd antarctic ship scheduled to he in Auckland on Christmas Eve. The Mariposa is to dock in Sydney December 20. Miss Jen-;en Jen-;en will lie guest of her uncle md aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Baird at Sydney and plans to return re-turn home about April 1. In honor of Miss Jensen her viother entertained at a beautifully-appointed tea Saturday afternoon af-ternoon between the hours of 3 and 5 p.m. Miss Jen Buchman and Mrs. George Bolman poured md Miss Lenore Richards and Mrs. Robert Hoine served. Miss Jensen's grandmother, Mrs. A.B. Waldemar of Salt Lake City, was in the receiving line. An imported cloth covered the tea table, centered with a crys- tal 1owl of talisman roses. The crystal candlesticks held princess prin-cess candles. Seventy-five guests called. Miss Virginia Harris was hostess hos-tess Saturday evening at a Bon Voyage dinner at her home complimenting com-plimenting Miss Jensen. A boat filled with sweet peas served as the table decoration and favors were tiny boats with good wishes for Midge written on the sails. The guests, who presented the honoree with a book, were Miss Delia Macke. Miss Lenore Rich-nrds, Rich-nrds, Mrs. Beth Nordberg, Miss Alida Thomas, Miss Helen Loveless, Love-less, Miss Ruth Prigmore. Miss Helen Morris. Mrs. Ray Harker, Mrs. Josephine Johnson. Wednesday evening a dinner and theatre party was given by Miss Meade Larsen, Miss Vadis Olson. Miss Thelma Rice and Miss Naomi Rigby in Salt Lake City with Miss Jensen as honor guest. Miss Margaret Ireland and Miss Jensen enjoyed dinner at Jeanne's Jean-ne's Tea Room on Highland Drive, Salt Lake City on Thursday Thurs-day evening. A dinner dance at which Mr. John Niemi was host will be enjoyed en-joyed by twelve guests at the Empire Room of the Hotel Utah this evening. Invitations have been issued for n luncheon at the Empire Room Saturday for Miss Jensen ' at which Mrs. A. W, Maly of Copperton is to be hostess. " |
