Show LIONS CLUB FETES STATE HIGH SCHOOL GRID BCHAMPIONS The Bingham high school football foot-ball team, 1939's class B gridiron champions, were feted to turkey dinner Monday evening by members mem-bers "of the Bingham Canyon Lions club. Speakers during the evening were Dr. Paul. S. Richards, Rich-ards, president of the Jordan school district and president of the Lions club. Dr. C. N. Jensen, superintendent of the school district; dis-trict; Principal T. H. McMullin, Coaches Bailey Santistevan and Warren Allsop; Joel Jensen, music mu-sic instructor; Captain Frank Callen; David Ireland, student body president; Coaches Ike Armstrong and Pete Couch of the University of Utah. Coach Armstrong complimented compliment-ed the boys on their achievement achieve-ment in winning the state championship. champ-ionship. He said the kind of football foot-ball players he liked were boys going to college and playing football foot-ball instead of football players going to college. He also stated that his players are trained to like football and to play the game for fun and any boy who finds it a grind to play the game had better get out because they are doing the team and themselves them-selves no good.
