Santistevan introduced the players play-ers on the Bingham and Jordan teams. David Ireland, student body president, and Principal T. H. McMullin presided over the meeting. Speakers and guests besides football players and coaches were Dr. Paul S. Richards; Dr. C. N. Jensen; Stanley Rasmussen of Sandy; Bishop Horace Godfrey, Union; Principal J. M. Walker, Captain Stan Jones, Coach Grant Ingersoll and Assistant Coach Leo Nielson of American Fork; Vr.mps and Joe Workman John Vranes and Joe Workman! of the Jordan high faculty, W. D. Kuhre, former district school board member; Frank Baker of the Salt Lake Telegram; Hack Miller, Deseret News; L. G. Bur-ress, Bur-ress, Bingham Bulletin, and Joseph Jo-seph Scussel. Garth Rasmussen played a sax-aphone sax-aphone solo and Colleen Ireland of Midvale gave a tap dance number. Following the assembly all guests and football team members mem-bers were served a luncheon by the home economics department in the school cafeteria. . O |
