Two burglaries and three holdups, all reported to tho pollco between 7 and 11 o'clock tonight, are believed to comprise tho overling's work of threo men who operated, with one exception, ex-ception, In the southern part of the city. At 7:30 o'clock J. II. R:illy. 205 Twenty-eighth street, reported that ids house had been entered and ?:! in cash and a bank book taken. At 10:30 Mrs. Plumer B. Haslot, 147 Twenty-ninth street, returned re-turned homo and discovered that her house had been ransacked. Tho only article ar-ticle missing is an emblem pin. Parsons, 202 Tracy avenue, was held up on Wall avonue, between Twenty-second and Twenty-third Twenty-third streets. Aftor the victim was knocked clown, the robbers took ?3.no in cash and a gold watch. Louis Bitten. Jr., 3355 Washington avenue, was robbed of a gold watch at Goddard and Washington avenues. This was at 9:30 o'clock, and the police may have been in the neighborhood when Robert Nelson. 3280 Grant avenue, was held up on Goddard avenuo, betwoen Washington and Grunt avenues, a few minutes after 10 o'clock. He lost $15.50 In cash. No arrests had been made at midnight. |
