Show TALKS TO STUDENTS. Advantages of Farm Management Pointed Out by Government Expert. Special to The Tribune. J3R1GHAM CITY, Jan. 30. Profcraor D. W. "Working of Denver, representing the United States department of agriculture, agricul-ture, while on route from Logan, stopped in this city today by special arrangements made 'by tho schools of the citv and addressed ad-dressed about 500 students and" other interested in-terested persons on the subject of "Farm Management." The lecture was illustrated illus-trated by several stereopticon views showing what .had already Ijecn accomplished accom-plished in other communities by the government's gov-ernment's system of farm management. In his address Professor Working enlarged en-larged upon tho progress being mado in the southern counties of Utah, where the government had regularly appointed representatives rep-resentatives to work with the farmers. Vlows of a number of farms In Utah were shown which bore a contrast between be-tween the "managed" farm and the unmanaged farm. The lecture was given In tho opera houso, under tho auspices of tho high school and seventh and eighth grades of the district schools. |
