Albert Ploward, for thirty years an employee of IH Flclschner, Mayer & Co., who. with seven othcr men, was accused of wholesale IH thefts of linens from the firm, committed suicide today in a cell at the county jail by cutting his Ihroat with a pen- IH knife. Howard hnd boon implicated by tho confession of Harry Estes, a fellow em- IH plovee of the firm, arrested yesterday with him. Estes said Howard never had profited bv any of the thefts, but that he had connived at tho removal of tho stolen goods from the stockroom.
