Wo are ohort-alghtcd and cannot sec over tho heads of our fellows. Henco we follow the leader, or hurry aimlessly here and there unless the figure of a shepherd Is sent to show the way: the way wherein lies the satisfaction sat-isfaction of our real needs. The most Important thing is llfo itself. Wc want it; wc need IC Wc onlv lialf live most of tho time, but w'o want to live fully. The Good Shepherd Shep-herd wants us to live so, ,honcc he gave himself to stand between us and all that threatens. The shepherd figure Is not large enough to convov . its full meaning, for Jesus said: "I gave them eternal llfo and no one shall snatch them from mv hand." Ho is our Savior forever. |
