Basketball Season in Northern Division Will Open on January 24 Coaches Miller (L, D. S.), Richardson (S. L. II. S.) and Ashton (Granite) met yesterday morning in the Deseret gymnasium gym-nasium to arrango the basketball schedule sched-ule for the northern division. The season sea-son will not commence until January 2i. The reason for this late start 13 that the Htato tournament will not commence until about March 1. and an earlier start In the division games would necessitate a long training season. Jordau and Park City are tho schools In this port, of the stato which up to date have not been represented, and to give them an opportunity for the title, should they be able to get a team together this year pianv open dates have been left,' Any of these teams aro ellgjle under the state rules to challenge those teams al ready in tho league for the title and games may be arranged for any open date in January or February.
