The first Cort attraction at-traction was booked today'for production at the Orpheum theater and is the flrst reliable confirmation of the rumor that John Cort has obtained control of the local vaudeville house on those nights when It 19 not In use by the Orpheum ! company. "Officer fli?6" will be the first big road attraction to visit Ogden this season. Manager Joseph Goss of the Rex theater thea-ter In Salt Lake and former manager of the Orpheum In this city, was In Ogdcn today looking after the booking of the Cort show, but he has not fully decided whether he will roturn to Ogden and take complete charge of the local house during the confine season. He also confirmed the report that Cort road shows would be booked at the Orpheum theater on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Wednes-day nights, the house to be devoted to regular Orpheum vaudeville the. remaining remain-ing three nights and Saturdny afternoon, Mr. Cort Is now In the cast arranging the routes of the road sliowa in such a manner that they will reach Ogden during dur-ing the first half of each week. This city will receive every road attraction that plays the Salt Lake theater in Zlon this season. |
