Show BIDS ARE OPENED FOR STATE FAIR COLISEUM All the bids for the masonry and carpenter car-penter work on the new livestock coliseum, colise-um, opened yesterday morning at a meeting of tho Slate fair committees, ranged In the neighborhood of ?20,000 for each contract. The opinion was expressed ex-pressed by members of the committees, after the bids were opened, that all the bids were too high. Horace S. Ensign, secretary of the Utah Fair association, said there were a number of details to be considered before the contract will be let. Tho bids submitted were: Bower's Building company, carpenter work, 523,985, and masonry, $20,000; J. H. Brittain, carpenter work, $19,680, mason work, $18,340: Ashton Brothers, Broth-ers, carpenter work. $20.6-15: August Ru-dine, Ru-dine, mason work, 22,000; C. West, carpenter car-penter and maHon work complete, separate sepa-rate statements not made. $46,870; Ncall & Seager, carpenter work alone, $21,000; Campbell Building company, carpenter work, $22,150, masonry, $25,250; A. P, MicklGBon, masonry, $29,707; dishing & Chapman, masonry. $25,S7S; J. F. and E. PL Schraven. carpenter work, $22,878, mason ma-son work, $26,835- Dunshee & Schuyler for the carpenter work, $19,7S0. |
