Show Bathers at Saltair The Water Is Fine Two busy days ahead Is the outlook at Saltair and every employee has been given Instructions to govern his actions for the two days to come. Today is the regular weekly Carnival day, always a big event on the week's programme. Two big bands tonight will be the main attraction, at-traction, furnishing music In the dancing pavilion for continuous dancing during tho entire evening. Special dance programmes pro-grammes have been printed and will be available on tho pavilion floor. Tomorrow Saltair celebrates the twentieth twen-tieth anniversary of the opening. July 1, 1S93, the big resort was thrown open to the public and since that time It has easily been the most Important and widely wide-ly advertised resort In the west. It has also been one of the best advertisements the state has had In 'that time and is known practically all over the civilized world. It Is estimated that fully 5,000,000 people have been entertained therein since the opening. Each j'ear sees the attendance increase and Indications are that this year will prove to be the banner year In every way. For the celebration tomorrow, while there will be no formal exercises, extra provisions have been made to care for all who choose to spend the day at the lake. Bathing promises to be the big feature fea-ture and with the conditions favorable, Manager Joseph Nelson looks for all bathing records to be broken. In anticipation antici-pation of this provision has been made to handle 25 per cent more bathers than were ever bathed before on any one day in the resort's history. This a.pplles both to the Indoor plunge and lake bathing. All the bath houses will bo In commission commis-sion and with the ample supplv of new bathing suits all who come will be accommodated ac-commodated without delay. Lovers of dancing will not be slighted in the arrangements, as Montgomery's full band will be on band for both afternoon after-noon and evening. Special popular and patriotic programmes are being prepared and Conductor Montgomery promises two of the best dances of the year. Special equipment and special .trains. If necessary, neces-sary, will be available and from earlv morning until the last train reaches the cltv the entire combined staffs of both resort and railroad will be on the alert to make the day a "hummer." Special provisions are being made to handle children and the regular half rate will prevail. Tho first .train will run at 9:30 a. m., and another at 12:15. From then on there will be a train every forty-five minutes. |
