Show HOUSE TO TAKE UP MULHALL CHARGES WASHINGTON'. July 2. A sweeping investigation of the lobbying charges made by Martin M. Mulhall Involving members of the house will be authorized by tho house, probably on Saturday. After Af-ter two hours of heated discussion today to-day the house referred the matter to the rules committee with instructions to report out a resolution giving a. committee commit-tee broad Inquisitorial poweis to probe the matter. Chairman Henry called a meeting of the rules committee for tomorrow morning- to begin the work of framing the resolution. The question of appointing a committee to act in conjunction 'with the senate lobby committee will be taken and. Senator Overman and other member.1; mem-ber.1; of the senate committee will he consulted. If a separate house committee com-mittee Is decided on an attempt will be made to reach an agreement with tho. senate committee, to divide tho subject matter of the Inquiry with the idea of jfllowing the hniiKe to probe such mat-1 ten as concern Its own members.
