Concerning the rebel raid. of Saturday on Mormon settlers at Colonla JDJas, Mexico, Mex-ico, and tho killing there on Sundny of J. D. Harvey, officials of the church have received at headquarters two dispatches from Orson P. Brown, tholr agent at El Paso, Texan. The Urst. dated Sunday, was as follows: "Store at Colonia. Diaz robbed Saturday Satur-day night, one of tho robbers being killed. Officers at Ascension have asked names of all implicated. Will send Edmund Richardson there tomorrow morning and will advise with Oror.co tomorrow. All quiet In tho other- colonics." A second dispatch was received yesterday yes-terday morning from Mr. Brown and was also dated at El Paso. It said: "Brother of dead bandit murdered J. D. Harvey yesterday whllo Harvey was on his .farm with his threo sons. Harvey was not tho slayer of the dead bandit." li was given out at. the president's office of-fice yesterday that J. D. Harvey was a ! native of Moroni, Utah, and was 49 years old. Two sisters, Mrs. Eliza H. Bradley and Mrs. .Teanettc H. Preswlch, still reside re-side at Moroni. A brother, William Har-vev.
