Show TITIIC VICTIMS FOUM LIFE Many Died Hours After the Tragedy From Exposure, According" to Report. HALIFAX, N. S., May 6. Only onq of thc ueventecn persons whose bodies were recovered by the cable ship Minia in the virinity of tho Titanic traced' died from drowning, in the opinion of the cable ship's physician. Tho other sixteen perished from exposure, ex-posure, death ensuing somo hours after the vessel sank. This -was demonstrated demon-strated by cxjnniujition of thc bodies, water being found in the lungs of but one person. This statement is made on the authority of tho Itev. 31. "Wj Cunningham, rector of St.. George's church, who accompanied the Minin on her quest. Of the seventeen bodies recovered, fifteen were brought to port, the othor two. the bodies of unidentified firemen, fire-men, being buried at- sea. The bodios preserved were those of Charles M. Hays, president of tho Grand Trunk railway; .Joseph IJ'ynnoy of .T. Fynnoy & Co., rubber merchants of 3jiverpool, "who was a second, class passenger; three third class passenger passen-ger and ton members of the crew. |
