Miss Bird Mlllman, at the Orphcum this week, performs real wonders on the tight wire Her dances on the slender slen-der steel thread arc exhibitions of remarkable re-markable skill, and the audience last night realized the fact that Miss Mlllman Is perhaps the most accomplished aerial wlro performer that has ever been seen here. With Miss Mlllman Is a companv of performers, each of whom Is in a high class. Miss Mlllman Is heralded as "The Tanguay of the Air," and she deserves tho appellation. The Four Huntings furnish l.wentv minutes of genuine fun In their prc"-sentation, prc"-sentation, "The Fool House." In this skit every one thinks that everv one else is a lunatic and complications arc consequently numerous and ludicrous. Tony Hunting's facial expressions are worth the price. Low Hunting does some acrobatic stunts that aro new and require re-quire extreme agility. Miss Moilic Hunting Hunt-ing Is a clog dancer of exceptional merit. Christy and Willis offer a comedy juggling jug-gling act that Is far beyond the ordinary. The chief juggler of the firm has a whole lot of now "business" that takes well. His mechanical contrivances aro entirely original and laugh-provoklnfr. Ho is also a nnstniaster In the art of juggling hats, balls, plates and other articles. His dexterity dex-terity Is, Indeed, uncommon. ,,T,llcU(1,.ence' especially tho part of It that fills the upper part of Ihe house on Sunday nights, was struck with tho Empire Em-pire Comedy Four. These four, Leonard. Cunningham, Roland and Jenny, have excellent ex-cellent voices. Their singing, however, for thoso who like singing for singing's sake. is somewhat marred by the knockabout knock-about performances that arc interjected These performances pleased the Inrser portion of the audience, though, and the majority ruled to the extent that the quartette was recalled several times. Frank Ottrf and Lola Merrill have a Mttlo skotch that is wholly acceptable They have a good run of rapid-fire dialogue, dia-logue, with numerous fresh jokes, and their singing and dancing are pleasing Their songs are original. iing. Miss Corlnne Frances has a swoet voice and sings half a dozen songs with pleasing effod. Her choice of songs Is happy and she received deserved applause ap-plause for her efforts. 1 Foley and Miller.
