Show BID FOR BOX ELDER COURT HOUSE ACCEPTED Special to Thc Tribune. BRIGHAM CITY. Feb. S. The board of county commissioners of Box Elder county coun-ty mot Monday, considering tho bids for tho now court house. Ono of the members mem-bers of the board was still opposed to the court house proposition. The following follow-ing bids were received: S. A. Sackett. Sfw.521; Lars Hansen, ?58,757; M. E. Anderson. And-erson. 559,000. S. A, Sacketfs bid of J57.-521 J57.-521 was accepted. A special meeting of the board will be hold this week when the contracts will be" signed. The building, build-ing, when completed and fitted up with a hea.tlng plant, will cost in tho neighborhood neigh-borhood of 570.000. A. petition of Assessor Ellas Jensen for tho ratification of the appointment of J. Edward Glbbs as deputy assessor for Portage was accepted. Sheriff Josephson asked tho board to make a monthly allowance to S F. Carter, Car-ter, and Chairman Valentine allowed 55 a month to J. F. Conley. Tlie road commissioner recommended that all flumes in thc county bo replaced with concrete flumes as fast as they needed replacing. N. J. Valentine was appointed delegate dele-gate to attend the state horticultural convention at Salt Lake City, February 15-17, 1910. The board accepted thc plats of tho Howell townslto as they wcro presented. Upon motion of D. E Adams tho clerk was instructed to write for prices on rock crushers and dump wagons. |
