Show MRS. BAXTER GETS DECREE. Wife Alleges Husband Would Not Help Her Out of River. Special Ijo The Tribune. OGDEN. May 11. Mrs. Mary Baxter's petition asking for separate maintenance from William A. Baxter was granted In Judge N. J. Harris's court today. She was givoii tho community property, consisting con-sisting of their home valued at $'J00 and a farm near Warren valued at 31!000. She also got the custody of four children and attorney's fees. Mrs. Baxter testified that her husband had not provided ror her ror somo time and -that he had boon consorting with a woman In Salt Lake City- She says that, last Independence day, when they wore In Ogdcn canyon, her 1usband knocked hor down and dazed her so that sho did not know what she was doing, so she walked into tho river. Another alleged instance that she gave or his t.r.?ntmcnt was that sho once walked as far as Farm-Ington Farm-Ington on her way to Snlt 1-ako City In order to get her husband tp buy shoes for the children. Al Fnrmlngton sho found n. friend who lent hor monoy to rldo tho rest of the way. She says sho found her husband with the other woman. |
