Show WASHINGTON NOTIFIED. Rebels Will Open Customs House at Agua Prleta Today. AGUA PRIETA. Mm., via Douglas. Ariz.. May 11 The rebels are busy with preparations for the establishment here of their provisional government for the state of Sonora. Tho customs house will be opened in the morning and Washington Washing-ton notified that proper officials have been appointed to do business. In the meantime no one Is allowed to cross the line except for good reason. Isidro Escobosa, with 100 men. arrived today to form tho nucleus of the Insurrecto Insur-recto garrison Escobosa was in command com-mand of tho forco which captured Moctozuma on Tuesday. The federals had entrenched In the surrounding hills, but the night before the attack there were many desertions from their ranks to tho rebel side, and the trenches were taken without opposition. After a skirmish skir-mish in tho town Itself, which lasted but a few minutes, the federals surrendered. Their loss was two dead, the Insurgents having none. Escobosa left a garrison of 200 in Moctczuma and sent 200 others to Arizlpe. There was no fighting at Cananea today, to-day, advices to this effect having been received by a private telephone line. |
