Show POSTAL SAYINGS BANKS FOR FOREIGN WORKMEN Policy of the Postoftice Department While the New System 13 In Its Infancy. Special to The Tribune. WASHINGTON. May 11. In response to a request to have a postal savings bank established In Sunnyside. the post-office post-office department lias advised Senator Sutherland that In time postal savings banks will be established at all second-class second-class offices. Until that time the policy will be followed of establishing banks at officQs where large numbers of foreign workmen arc employed .and where there are large weekly or monthly payrolls. The application for Sunnysldo will he considered consid-ered Immediately by the department. An application to change the location of tho Sprlngvlllc postofflce has been referred re-ferred to an inspector for investigation and report. The postmaster has recommended recom-mended that tho office be removed to the corner of Main and South Depot streets, and a largely signed protest against this move has been filed by citizens citi-zens of the town, |
