Show WARRANT FOR JORDAN LATEST IN SWOPE CASE KANSAS CITY. March 2. A warrant was sworn out today by the prosecuting attorney of Wyandotte county, Kansas, for Dr. C. H. Jordan, tho South American Ameri-can physician who prescribed medicine for tho family of Mrs. Logan O. Swopo. Tho physician was charged with practicing practic-ing medicine without a license. Dr. Jordan's office ivas closed when a deputy sheriff called to serve the warrant war-rant nnd the physician has not yet been located. The warrant was issued at tho request of the stato board of medical registration and examination. Miss Bcssio Coughlln, formerly employed em-ployed by Dr. B. C. 'Hydo as a stenographer, stenogra-pher, testified today beforo the grand Jury that Is Investigating tho Swope mystery. mys-tery. Four negro servants In tho Swope home also testified today. It wns reported that tho members of the grand Jury desire to end tho Investigation Inves-tigation and mako their llnal report. The grand Jury probably will consider the case for several days longer, however, as It Is said the county prosecutor will call all tho witnesses he would need should a trial bo held later. |
