JacobHon and J. B. PIske, th' two young men arrested on December 10 by deputy shcrifls acting under Instructions of Sheriff Sharp for the. hold-up of tho George BctiS saloon, on the corner of Twelfth South and West Temple streets. After tno taking of testimony Judge Bishop gave It as his opinion that there was not a scintilla of ovldonco on which either of tho men could be bold for the hold-up of tho saloon or any of tho other hold-upn they were suspected of being Implicated ln. It wns a decided victory for tho two men who have been examined by scores of persons, all of whom wont to tho county Jail, whero tho mon wero being held, to Identity them If possible. Considerable notlrlcty was given the two men at tho time of their arrest and many persons who had been held up by highwaymen Insisted on seeing them. For a long time ovldcnco which was Intended In-tended to connect them with a number num-ber of tho most sensational street car hold-ups kept coming to light, but throughout their confinement both of the men stoutly maintained that, thoy were victims of circumstances over which they had no control.
