A young doctor and a certain Fran Krol have been arrcslcd here on a strange charge. Tho accusation accusa-tion brought ugalnsl them by tho authorities authori-ties is that they conspired together to murder llerr Krol, who Is an innkeeper near Prague. The arrests were made In consequence of a chance discovery by a newspaper reader of a letter addressed Poslc Res-tan Res-tan te. at Prague, which had somehow fallen between the leaves of his newspaper newspa-per In the post. Being curious .the newspaper news-paper subscriber opened tho envelope, and found It contained a packet and a letter which ania.cd him. In the packet was a poison in the form of a. powder eallee curarl. Tho letter contained exact Instructions for the use of this poison; It was to be out away by tho recipient till the intended intend-ed victim happened to cut himself. .Ihe powder was then to be boiled and applied to the wound. It was specitically recommended recom-mended that the utensils employed were to be carefully cleansed. The astonished reader communicated with Ihe police. The pnstofllce was watched, and when a young man. a relative rela-tive of Fran Krol's. applied for the letter on her behalf, her arrest was effected. The vouiik doctor, the writer of the letter, who is also under arrest, had for-merlv for-merlv been an assistant at the Technical college a I Prague, and during the dancing season lasl winter had seemed to grow verv much attached to Fran Krol; he had subsequently been transferred to Czeinowltz, In Bukowlna, thus being separated from her. It was alleged that Frau Krol had reason rea-son lo complain of Ihe treatment she received re-ceived from her husband; that a correspondence corre-spondence hud oecn kept up between her and the young doctor, and that dually she asked him to send the poison to give-to give-to her husband. ....
