Hundreds of acres of grain is in the shock and a great deal of It has sprouted and is lost to the producer, while the stacks, particular. partic-ular. those containing headed grain, arc wet half way to tin- bottom. Threshing has been entirely suspended, as the storm has been on for nearly two weeks, and today it has changed from rnln to hall and sleet, while the mountains aro covered with snow. Not alone the grain Is suffering, but n good deal of the hay was caught out In the fields. The Mormon church authorities have decided to put a straight prohibition ticket in tin- field this fall and today' made the preliminary arrangements for a big mass meeting aL which the details pf the scheme will be agreed upon. The trial of Dr. S. M. Wells on a charge of abortion is still In progress In the District court, the prosecution still being on Its main case. The young woman in the case was on the stand for two days and underwent a most severe cross-examination at the hands of Judge Weber, who, with A. H. Irvine, Is defending de-fending Wells. The medical experts aie now on the stand. MHlllda Rnsmussen today filed n suit In the District court for divorce from Hans Rasmussen, alleging failure, to provide. The couple were married in 1906 and the husband Is now employed bv the street railway company in Salt J Jake City. The cltv board of education at a meeting meet-ing held last night fleeted W. W.
