Show DERBY RACES DERBY, Eng., Sept. 2. The Elvaston Nursery plate, handicap, of 200 sovereigns, sover-eigns, for two-year-olds, distance five furlongs, was won today by Holy Wind. Among the twenty starters was August Belmon't Boudoir. The Perverll of the Peak plate, a handicap han-dicap of 1000 sovereigns, for three-year-olds and upward, over the straight mile, was won by Christmas Daisy. I'anson was second and Hanover Square third. Twenty-one horses started. Including H. P. Whitney's Perseus III. and Stamina. The Abbots Hill selling plate, a high-weight high-weight handicap of 130 sovereigns, for three-year-olds and upward, over the straight mile, was won by Comlque. Roman Ro-man Knight was second nnd Marathon II. third. Fifteen horses started, Including August Belmon't Laconlan. |
