Varnum of Detroit, De-troit, prominent as one pi tho most brilliant writers in Michigan journalism, journal-ism, was found in tho Huron river, near Geddcs. by two Ann Arbor students today. to-day. Mr. Varnum had been missing since February 12, when it is thought he plunged irom the bridge in Ann Arbor during an attack of acute mental men-tal depression. For several years ho had been writing editorials for the Detroit De-troit News until his health broke down about a year ago.
