Show PACIFIC COAST FANS PREPARING FOR SEASON SAN FRANCISCO, Fob. 27. With the arrival of the "White Sox" special in Snn Francisco, Monday night, the baseball season in California will be under way, although the Pacific Coast league will not commence its regular schedule of games until March 30. The "White Sox' will bo met at Sacramento Sacra-mento by a delegation of local baseball players, headed by Prcsideut J. Cal Ewing of the Coast league. Whito Sox No. 1 will commence practice on the San Francisco grounds on Tuesday, whilo team No. 2 will proceed pro-ceed at once to Los Angeles to go into trainiug. Tho first gamo between the eastern team and the San Francisco nino will be played next Friday. The Chicago squads will then alternate between Los Angeles and San Francisco, pla3Miig against the Coast leaguo teams of San Francisco, Los Angeles, Oakland and Sacramento. Altogether, thoro will bo twenty-two games in San Frnncisco and Oakland, and tho same number in Los Angeles. |
