Show SENSATIONAL CHARGES AGAINST SALOONKEEPERS Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. Jan. 5. Since the sensational story of having been robbed of $-100 by tho proprietors of the Apex saloon was told by an old man named Goff a week ago, other complaints of a similar nature regarding the proprietors of tho place have been brought to Iho attention of the police. Today J. W. Cllne admitted that he had left $15 with Bob McGuire, ono of the proprietors of the place, and when he called for tho money was kicked out of the saloon. Cllne at first denied tho story.- but when questioned at the station sta-tion admitted that It was true, and declared de-clared that McGuIro had threatened him if he gavo the facts to tho police. Edward Ed-ward Crouch, an elderly man, has also made a similar complaint against ' tho Apex proprietors. McGuIro- and Bramr lett, the owners of tho place, aro now under Indictment for the Goff affair and probably will be tried on the oilier barges as well. |
