Show STATE FOOD OFFICIALS BRAND PURPORTED REPORT FROM TBEM REGARDING BUTTER AS FALSE In the Salt Lake Herald of tho 1st inst. appeared an article under tho caption of "Here Arc Official Figures on "Weight, Qualilv and Coloring of Various Brands of Gutter, " which purports pur-ports to be a report by Slate Chemist Herman Harms and made public by Deputy Food Commissioner John Peterson. Peter-son. The article, which is not signed, appears to bo au advertisement, and bears the earmarks of a prominent butter but-ter manufactoo' in Utah, the object being be-ing to boom their product to the detriment detri-ment of other manufacturers, the Cache Valley Condensed lUilk company in particular. par-ticular. In view of the publication of this purported report tho following is self-explanatory and places our manii-fnctor- before the people iu its proper position.
