Through a dozen organized channels, contributions con-tributions toward relief of the oarthquako oarth-quako sufferers in Italy aro flowing into1 a fund that today exceeds $00,000. Of this amount $50,000 was appropriated from the funds in tho hands of tne San Francisco relief society and the local branch of the lied Cross. The balance was collected within a fow hours, there being two individual offerings of $1000. The Ital ian colony in this city? through iCs banks and nowspapcrs, raised over $4,500. and at various depositories throughout the city scores of subscriptions subscrip-tions aro being received.
